Technology Match Up!

We have a private donor that is willing to match our contribution to get a set of Chromebooks - or two depending on how much we can raise!

Each set is about $6,000
We already have $2000!

Please consider visiting our justgive page to donate towards this specific goal - or stop by the front office at IES.

Feel free to forward this email request to friends and family, anyone can help us reach our goal!

We will give the donor an amount to match by November 15th.

 

IES Fall Box Tops Submission 11/1/17

Our fall Box Top submission is approaching!
November 1st.

Final classroom collection will happen no later than October 18th. So, gather your BoxTops and get them into class. Please encourage all family and friends to help, BoxTops are everywhere!

A few things to note:

• Please check expiration dates

• Your BoxTops do not need to be attached to a collection sheet

• Do not attach bonus box tops to collection sheets

• There is a collection bin in the office if anyone outside the classroom would like to help us reach our BoxTop goals.

Start your day with a vigorous walk to school to help celebrate International Walk to School Day. Enjoy the fresh morning air and turn your brain on in preparation for a productive school day!
Wednesday, October 11th at 8:30am starting at one of the following locations: Village Ski Loft, The Chateau or Incline Skate Park.

IES Strawberry Festival

We need all hands on deck to help with the Strawberry Festival being held on Sunday, June 11th from 10am-2pm (immediately following the Color Run).

This is the main fundraiser for IES PTA and proceeds with fund the Science program (and science coordinator) IES. Please consider donating your time, treasures or talents. We will be selling raffle tickets (with the possibility of winning Disneyland tickets) as well as accepting any and all donations.

There are 2 more planning meetings that will be on the playground after school Wednesday (May 31st & June 7th).

We need help with obtaining silent auction and raffle items, set-up, clean-up, bake sale, games, tie dye and more.

PTA Board 2017-18 school year
At our next PTA meeting (Tuesday, May 9th at 5:00 in the library), we will be electing a new board for the upcoming school year.  Ludmila Popper has offered to continue as treasurer and LIz Skidmore & Patty Franklin volunteered to be co-secretaries.  We are still in need of  a president and vice president as well as many committee chairs. Please consider joining the leadership team.  It is a great way to meet new friends and become involved in your child's education.

Yearbook Information

The deadline for yearbook orders and personalization is quickly approaching (May 5th for dedications and May 12 for orders):

Dedications - put a special message in the yearbook for your child, a special teach or or friend!  Please make checks payable to IES PTA and submit payment and the written message to Kathy O’Conner in the office.  0 - 20 words = $5, 20 - 40 words = $10.  DEADLINE:  5 MAY 2017

Order your Yearbook - Be sure your student has this special keepsake of their 2016/7 year at IES.  Order your yearbook online at:  www.treering.com (the IES code is:  101391188608323), OR make checks payable to the IES PTA and submit payment, including your child’s name and teacher’s name, to the teacher or the Yearbook folder in the office.  DEADLINE:  12 MAY 2017.
