Girls' Youth Softball Leagues

Don't miss out on our upcoming Girls Youth Softball League!  There will be 3 divisions of Girls Softball teams, divided by grade level. (2nd - 4th, 5th & 6th and 7th -9th) The league is open to girls of all abilities.  The program will start with practices in late April and go through to mid-June.  Games will be after school and on Saturdays.  Fee includes jersey and an individual team photo. 

Days/Dates: Practices begin in late April, games are played after school and Saturdays through mid-June

Divisions: Grades 2-4 slowpitch, Grades 5-6 fastpitch, and Grades 7-9 fastpitch

Fees: (Includes League play, jersey, team and individual photos)

$94, $75 w/IVGID Pass (Early-bird rate through April 22nd)

$104, $85 w/IVGID Pass (Late enrollment rate beginning April 23rd)

BI-STATE EVACUATION DRILL


The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District along with Washoe County Emergency Management, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Nevada Highway Patrol, California Highway Patrol, North Tahoe Fire Protection District, Cal Fire, Placer County Emergency Management, Placer County Sheriff’s Department, Red Cross, IVGID, and partnering agencies will be hosting a full scale simulated wildland fire and community evacuation drill, called
the Bi-State Fire, on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Tahoe Biltmore (5 NV-28, Crystal Bay, NV 89402).

On the day of the drill, Kings Beach and Incline Village/Crystal Bay residents will be receiving a reverse dial 911 call, which will test the system announcing the drill. The Bi-State Fire Evacuation Drill will affect Kings Beach, Incline Village and Crystal Bay neighborhoods, affecting approximately 1,100 residents. Residents are asked to voluntarily evacuate to Tahoe Biltmore.

All residents and visitors are invited to attend the drill and safety fair at the evacuation center and incident command post inside the Tahoe Biltmore between 9:30am – 2:30pm.

There will be a free lunch, information booths and displays. Additionally, The Tahoe Biltmore is hosting $500 Slot Tournament with free entry for everyone attending the safety fair. The Washoe County Regional Animal Services will provide free microchipping. Helicopters will be performing water drops above Crystal Bay. NEW!  WASHOE COUNTY COMMUNITY CENTER IS NOW OPEN!

 
Washoe County is proud to announce the soft opening of the Washoe County Community Center located at 855 Alder. Mark your calendars for the Washoe County Community Center Open House on May 18 (time is TBD). Expanded hours, additions to rooms and opportunities to expand services will continue to be discussed by Washoe County over the next few months. There will be monthly meetings to continue conversations about the further and future development of the site.

Junior Golf Programs

Junior golf camps for ages 5 to 15 years old will be held from June 25th to August 6th. Online registration begins April 13th. The PGA Jr. League starts June 24th and will end the beginning of August. Register online at pgajrleague.com
